“He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.” Luke 1:32-33
When I think of Advent, I think of waiting, anticipation, hope, solitude, expectancy, The Magi, and cold still nights. The scriptures for the advent season are filled with many of these same things.

Jesus brought many things to this sin-torn world, one of the greatest of which was PEACE. This “component of character” was so needed that the angels featured it in their celebration song to the shepherds: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” This baby Jesus would become the Prince of Peace!

Sometimes it's hard to get people to see that Thanksgiving Day is really not all about the food. Sure there's turkey, dressing and all the trimmings, and football. We cannot forget football! But hidden inside this food-driven holiday is an opportunity to reflect on what the true meaning of the holiday celebration is. It is, after all, a day to remember how
